Jumper dresses started to come back as a fashionable dress up item around the beginning of the year 2000. This was boosted by the newborn indie rock style and its female followers. Singers such as Lilly Allen, Amy Winehouse and Pixies Geldof started to get press exposure and being branded as the 90’s girls while using the now famous Jumper Dress. I would say they sort of subdivide into three different styles.

The alternative girly girl.
These can be used by girls that have a more sharp and alternative sence of fashion. They usually wear the jumper dress with some boots and jeans, and probably even a jacket. The use the same scheme as when someone wears jeans underneath a skirt. Amazingly as it seems it can look quite good if they’re fashionably put together with “matching” colors.
